It wouldn’t be right if my first blog about skin care products wasn’t about Neostrata, i have been using products from them since they first arrived in Ireland over 10 years ago….. why …………. because they work. I started off by using their skin smoothing cream which i found brilliant but in the past couple of years they released a new product range call “Skin Active” and i have to say i am addicted. Now i did take a break from these products while going through chemo and opted for more gentle products, however as soon as i was finished i was straight back on it. The products in the range which i use religiously is the Exfoliating Wash – its a glycolic foamy face wash, not suitable for removing make up, you would need to use it after you have removed your make up. I usually leave it on my face for a few seconds, you may feel a slight tingly sensation on your skin which i love as it assures me this products means business ! The next product is the Matrix Support – its basically a day cream, skin feels very supple after using this and its an excellent base for make up. Its just the right consistency as i don’t like greasy moisturisers. The next products is prob my favourite which is the Intensive Eye Therapy, for me its the best eye cream i have ever tried, i think eye creams are so necessary although i don’t think any eye cream is going to take 10 years off you, it is very important to treat the eye area with a good product, and lastly is the Cellular Restoration – its a night cream, it’s a heavier consitency to the Matrix Support and by combining all of these products together and using them regularly your skin will be at its best. Skin Active aren’t the only products in the Neostrata range and they do cater for all types of skin complaints/concerns. The products were developed in the US by two dermatoligists, who i think really know their stuff, they aren’t the perfumed pretty packaged products that so often we are attracted to buy however in my experience using them, they do work.
