Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending a very special event for Breast Cancer Ireland. Elaine Crowley along with a fabulous panel of humorous and inspiring ladies took midday out of Ballymount for 1 day and hit Marco Pierre Whites.
There was a lovely buzz in the air, lots of fun and giggles all whilst raising awareness. The panel Triona McCartney, Norah Casey, Paula McClean, Siun Walsh and Emma Hannigan joined Elaine for what was a very informative and moving insight into all aspects of Breast Cancer.
Lunch was fab and the music (jazz) set the mood. We also got a goodie bag which with being a product junkie I was thrilled with. I as usual was just blown away by how supportive and kind people can be. It was also great to see many of my favourite bloggers out in force to support this great cause.
Raising awareness about the importance of early detection and the need to support research is our key weapon in fighting this disease. Don’t forget to check your breasts, know your breasts so that if there is changes you will notice them. I find by downloading Breast Cancer Ireland’s free Breast Aware app it’s great for guiding you through how to carry out a self breast examination and remind you when to do it.
