The more I write for Breast Friends the more I realise what a creature of habit I am. I tend to find a product/brand that I like and stick to them for YEARS. Well no more I have already made the move of shaking up my skincare regime and now its time for foundations to get an overhaul.
I have gone out and splurged on the following products and here’s how I found them
Clarins Everlasting Foundation (Wheat or Sand)
This is the foundation I have been using for an absolute age, its got a great coverage without being too cakey. To create a more dewy look I mix it will some Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector in Rose, it just gives a lovely look and a long-lasting finish. – It’s no wonder it was my must have foundation for so long. It goes without saying this is a foundation that I would buy again and again.
Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation (Wheat or Sand)
I first was introduced to this foundation for a photoshoot I was doing. It’s much more lightweight than the Everlasting Foundation. The finish is much more dewy but it has less coverage so I feel more suitable if you want a light natural finish and if your skin is blemish free. For me this foundation is hit or miss, if I’m having a good skin day I like it if I’m having a bad skin day then I would opt for something else.
Charlotte Tilbury – Magic Foundation (Medium 5)
This is a foundation that does exactly what is says on the tin, it promises flawless, poreless, youthful looking skin everyday. Now I only have used this twice as I only bought it recently, I love the coverage and the finish. It delivers on all of its promises however I do think I am slightly out on the shade and next time I will probably go for a different shade.
Inglot – HD Perfect Coverup Foundation (77)
This is the foundation I would use if I was going on TV or getting my photo taken. It’s a full coverage foundation which I just love. It can be a bit drying so I mix it with and illuminators and I find it just glides on.
Lancôme – Teint Idole Ultra Wear (03 Beige Diaphane)
This is a really nice foundation with a medium coverage. I only used this once but I was really happy with the result. I took some #nofilterneeded photos which is a really good sign, the foundation lasted all day and looked great right up to when I took it off, its defo one that I would buy again my skin was flawless.
Rimmel – Fresher Skin (103 True Ivory)
This one was super duper cheap I picked it up in Pennys while I was queuing up to pay. Its got a lightweight coverage, it wasn’t heavy or cakey on my skin. For such an inexpensive foundation I was really happy with the result my skin was left looking very youthful and dare I say FRESH
Revlon – Photoready Insta-Fix (130 Shell Coquillage)
This foundation brought me down memory lane back to my Pan Stick days, it’s a stick foundation thankfully not as oily as Pan Stick. I found it to be a little drying and will probably only use it on top of another foundation to help get a colour I am happy with. The coverage wasn’t great either so I probably won’t be buying this one again.
